OPT Rewards Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply when you use the OPT Rewards app, website, wallet credits, QR payment, laundry machine payment, voucher, reward, transfer, support, and related services ("App").

By creating an account, scanning a QR code, topping up, making a payment, redeeming a reward, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About OPT Rewards

OPT Rewards helps users pay for supported laundry machines and related services at participating outlets in Malaysia. The App may support account registration, QR scanning, machine selection, wallet credits, top-ups, payment gateway payments, vouchers, rewards, transfers, transaction history, and support.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details, email, phone number, and device secure. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you promptly report suspected unauthorised access.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we reasonably believe there is fraud, misuse, false information, breach of these Terms, payment abuse, reward abuse, security risk, or legal risk.

3. Payments and Machine Use

Before confirming payment, check the outlet, machine, machine type, cycle, price, voucher, discount, and total amount. A payment or machine transaction is complete only when our system or payment provider records it as successful.

Machine prices, cycle times, supported payment methods, vouchers, rewards, and promotions may vary by outlet, brand, machine, and campaign.

Payments may be processed through OPT Rewards wallet credits, Revenue Monster, banks, e-wallet providers, or other payment providers. Third-party payment providers may apply their own terms, checks, settlement times, fees, and refund timelines.

4. Wallet Credits and Rewards

Wallet credits, tokens, bonus tokens, stamps, vouchers, referral rewards, birthday rewards, welcome gifts, and other benefits are for use only within OPT Rewards and participating outlets or brands.

Unless we clearly state otherwise, they:

- are not bank deposits;
- do not earn interest;
- cannot be withdrawn as cash;
- cannot be sold, exchanged, brokered, or commercially traded;
- may be limited to certain brands, outlets, campaigns, or services;
- may expire if they are promotional credits, vouchers, rewards, or bonus benefits.

If required by Malaysian law, Bank Negara Malaysia rules, payment provider requirements, or business needs, we may change, restrict, suspend, migrate, refund, or discontinue wallet, token, transfer, or top-up features.

5. Refunds

Refunds depend on the payment method, transaction status, machine activation result, payment provider records, outlet records, and OPT Rewards records.

If a wallet payment succeeds but the supported machine fails to activate due to a system or hardware activation issue, we may automatically refund the affected wallet amount where technically possible. Otherwise, we may manually review the case.

Gateway refunds may take longer because banks, cards, e-wallets, or payment providers control settlement and refund timing.

Refunds may be declined or reduced if:

- the machine was successfully activated;
- the service was used;
- you selected the wrong outlet or machine;
- the request is not supported by available records;
- the issue was caused by misuse, tampering, fraud, or breach of these Terms;
- related wallet credits, tokens, vouchers, or rewards have already been used or transferred.

For support, you may need to provide your transaction ID, outlet, machine number, payment screenshot, transaction time, phone number, email, or other details needed to verify the issue.

6. Errors, Abuse, and Chargebacks

If credits, rewards, vouchers, or refunds are issued by mistake, duplicated, miscalculated, or obtained through abuse or technical error, we may reverse, adjust, suspend, or hold them after review.

You must not misuse the App, tamper with QR codes or machines, exploit bugs, create false accounts, manipulate rewards, submit false support claims, or make abusive chargebacks or payment disputes.

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute for a valid transaction, we may suspend your account, hold wallet credits, reverse related rewards, restrict payment features, and recover permitted costs or losses.

7. Outlets and Machines

Participating outlet owners, brand owners, and machine operators are responsible for their premises, machines, operating hours, machine maintenance, laundry results, and on-site issues, unless OPT Rewards has expressly accepted responsibility or the law requires otherwise.

OPT Rewards operates the App with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee that every machine, outlet, QR code, network, payment gateway, hardware controller, or third-party service will always be available or error-free.

8. Intellectual Property and Feedback

The App, software, designs, logos, content, workflows, and related materials belong to OPT Rewards or our licensors.

You may use the App only for its intended purpose. You must not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer, or misuse the App.

If you submit feedback, ratings, support messages, or other content, you allow us to use, store, moderate, display, and process it to operate, improve, support, promote, and protect the App.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy. It explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, retain, and manage personal data.

10. Service Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the App for operational, security, legal, regulatory, commercial, fraud-prevention, maintenance, or business reasons.

If a material change affects unused paid wallet credits, we will handle those credits in a commercially reasonable way and in accordance with Malaysian law.

11. Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPT Rewards is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, business, opportunity, goodwill, data, or losses caused by service interruption.

Where liability cannot be excluded, OPT Rewards's liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected transaction, the unused paid wallet credit directly affected, or the minimum amount required by law, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including fraud, wilful misconduct, or non-excludable consumer rights.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify OPT Rewards for claims, losses, costs, and expenses caused by your misuse of the App, breach of these Terms, fraud, unlawful activity, unauthorised account use, abusive payment disputes, machine or QR tampering, or infringement of another person's rights.

This does not apply to the extent the claim is caused by OPT Rewards's fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Malaysia will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us first so we can review and try to resolve the issue.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will show the "Last updated" date.

For material changes affecting payments, wallet credits, refunds, liability, termination, or privacy-related terms, we may notify you through the App, email, website notice, or another reasonable method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
